Another fail proof firestarter is what is also known as the Trappers Snowball. Take a length of twine or string of at least three feet. Dip it in hot wax, remove, and let cool on a piece of wax paper. Once hardened, tightly wind it up in a little ball to keep in your pocket for a light and extremely dependable fire starter!

Both this and the cottonball idea are good and light for keeping on you in the woods. Good idea!
